The Glory of God

 

The Heavens proclaim the Glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Psalm 19:1The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God… Hebrews 1:3The glory of God is the manifested presence. It is very powerful and weighty. Hence when the glory falls on individual, they fall backward because they are overpowered. It is difficult to resist or stand. The body cannot withstand the weight of glory. The glory can be felt and seen as a visible power. This visible presence of God on earth is called Shekinah glory. Shekinah is a Hebrew word meaning the visible Majesty of God’s Divine presence that dwells between the cherubim on the mercy seat. This was always in the magnificent Solomon's temple, Second Chronicles 7:1. The glory fell at dedication of the first temple.In Deuteronomy 23:14 Moses told the children of Israel; the shekinah of the Lord is in their midst and also God coming on earth to dwell with men in His shekinah glory as in the advent of Jesus. John 1:14. We beheld God's glory in Jesus coming to earth. Shekinah glory is God revealing His power on earth. It is God's divine favor, visitation, and presence on earth.In the Old Testament, the glory appeared as a cloud, fire, or smoke.In Exodus 24:17 the Israelites saw the glory as devouring fire on mount top. In the wilderness journey, the glory manifested as the fire by night and the cloud by day. Exodus 13:21. Habakkuk saw the glory as ‘’His brightness was as the light Habakkuk 3:4 We have his glory in us at new birth, but we need to have a revelation to walk in that glory. We should seek more of it and pray as body of believers for His glory to be manifested on earth as never before in meetings, Churches, and conferences.Pray and believe and you will see the glory of God. John 11:40.Pray this scripture in Ephesians 1:17–18 ‘’Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. ‘’ There are levels of glory we should pray to increase from glory to glory. ‘’So, all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.’’ Second Corinthians 3:18To walk in glory, we must walk in love for faith walk by love. Galatians 5:6. Love embodies all other virtues. ‘’And over all these virtues put on love which binds us all together in perfect harmony ‘’ Colossians 3:14. Walk in the fruit of the spirit that is produce in your life by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us.We are God's temple, and He wants to dwell in us in His glory. Arise and shine for the light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen up on thee…, Isaiah 60:1–2Miracles, signs, and wonders become daily occurrences…Healing and deliverance for those who are bound and setting the captive free.There is fire burning in us and we have power to tread on the devil. Luke 10:19The Scriptures About His GloryHere are few scriptures among all others.And again, their voices rang out: “Praise the Lord! The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!” Revelation 19:3The Temple was filled with smoke from God’s glory and power. No one could enter the Temple until the seven angels had completed pouring out the seven plagues. Revelation 15:8For the Lord will rebuild Jerusalem. He will appear in his glory. Psalm 102:16They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory! Isaiah 6:3Then the Lord will provide shade for Mount Zion and all who assemble there. He will provide a canopy of cloud during the day and smoke and flaming fire at night, covering the glorious land. Isaiah 4:5But even as he was saying this, a cloud overshadowed them, and terror gripped them as the cloud covered them Luke 9:34There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. Exodus 3:2“Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.
