Morning Devotions with Dr. Esther

This page is a collection of my personal morning devotions, written by Dr. Esther during my quiet time with the Lord. As a professor, counselor, and coach, my heart in these writings is to invite others into a deeper relationship with God, to study more of the Scripture, and to grow in the ability to hear God’s voice. Each devotion is designed to increase your knowledge of Scripture and help you live in a way that is grounded, practical, and faithful to His Word. I pray that these reflections help you start each day anchored in truth, guided by the Holy Spirit, and equipped to love and serve others with wisdom and grace. May this space become a place of faith, growth, and daily encouragement for the glory of God.

Generational Curses: Breaking Free from Ancestral Bloodguilt
April 9, 2026

Heavenly Father, I come before the Courts of Heaven, humbly acknowledging any bloodguiltiness or sin that may exist within my lineage. I ask that every legal claim the enemy has made against me, based on bloodshed or iniquity within my ancestry, be revoked and annulled by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Separate me, Lord, from every ungodly bloodline or covenant connected to the devil. I plead that Satan will no longer use the sins of my forefathers as an accusation against me (Zechariah 3:1–2; Revelation 12:10–11). Let every compromised covenant be broken—every agreement, vow, or word spoken in darkness be destroyed completely by the power of the Lamb’s blood (Hebrews 9:14; Colossians 2:14–15).

Father, silence every accuser and nullify every harmful word spoken against my life and destiny (Isaiah 54:17). Stop the devil’s intentions, and instead release in me the fullness of life and life abundantly, as promised by Jesus (John 10:10).

Prayer

I thank You, Lord Jesus, that by accepting You as my Lord and Savior, I am redeemed and cleansed from every curse (Galatians 3:13–14). I have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13–14). Therefore, the enemy has no dominion over me, my household, or my destiny, no right to claim authority through any ancestral agreement or will.

Just as Timothy received a legacy of faith through his mother and grandmother (2 Timothy 1:5), I declare that I inherit only the godly blessings in my bloodline. Every good thing You intended for my life will flourish and not be destroyed. I now walk in freedom, righteousness, and divine purpose, covered by the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me… Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, You God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of Your righteousness.” — Psalm 51:10, 14
